On 21 October 2021, the Senate referred the National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Participant Service Guarantee and Other Measures) Bill 2021 to the Senate Community Affairs Legislation Committee for inquiry and report.
A4 made a submission about:
- the Bill does not introduce a Participant Service Guarantee (PSG), that is left to the separate rules. So naming the bill after something not in the proposed legislation is deceitful and misleading. It promotes mistrust.
- there is no need to change the so-called flexibility of the review process as it is perfectly adequate as it is;
- our agreement that the law should change the scheme from trial and transition mode to being a full national scheme.
