A teenage boy who went missing at Heatherbrae, near Port Stephens, on Tuesday night has been found after he attended his school in the Blue Mountains on Wednesday morning.
The boy made his way back to his school at Katoomba this morning, NSW Police said.
Superintendent Chad Gillies from the Port Stephens-Hunter Police District told Ray Hadley on 2GB on Wednesday morning that it is believed the 13-year-old, who likes public transport, hitch-hiked and caught a train to make the 240-kilometre journey.
"The young fella had managed to get his way to Katoomba to his school," he said.
"He's quite resourceful."
