Since the start of the NDIS, no NDIS Minister has met A4, the only national DRO that represents people with severe and profound autism. These are the autistic Australians who are meant to remain in the NDIS once the new eligibility criteria come into effect.

The NDIS has serious problems with its planning processes for severely and profoundly autistic NDIS participants but successive NDIS Ministers refuse to meet representatives for this key group of NIS particpants. The NDIS Minister's staff cannot tell their Minister about the serious problems these autistic people experience with the NDIS so NDIS Ministers remain ignorant of serious unmet support needs and of the breeches of human rights this involves.

A4 made a meeting request. The Minister's office, apparently can't read so they sent it to the NDIS. A4 pointed out that the NDIS does not manage the Minister's diary - so the request was eventually processed by the Minister's office. The meeting request was again denied.

In relation to autism, especially the most vulnerable autistic Australians, government in Australia is a disgrace.
