Subject: Health's part of the National Autism Strategy is missing
Dear Health Minister
On 14/1/2025, DSS Minister Rishworth released 3/4 of a so-called National Autism Strategy (see https://ministers.dss.gov.au/media-releases/17301). The original intent was that the full Strategy would include an Autism Roadmap for the Health sector (including mental health). Health's part of the Strategy is missing; the National Autism Strategy is incomplete.
Members of the Autism Health Roadmap Working Group understood (Health officials told them it was done and wound up the working group) that their part of the overall Strategy was ready subject to political approval.
Why has the government not released its Health Roadmap for Autism, the 4th part of the National Autism Strategy?
